My patients: As a general practitioner, I am incredibly privileged to meet people from all walks of life and across different ages. We delve into every facet of medicine—from paediatrics to geriatrics, dermatology to surgery and internal medicine. Sometimes, we are counsellors or a shoulder to cry on, financial advisors, and even educators.
Name one highlight of your career: A career highlight for me was in 2009 when I had the extraordinary opportunity to assist Dr. JM Breytenbach, a specialist plastic and reconstructive surgeon. Learning new skills in the operating theater has greatly enhanced my GP and aesthetic skills. It's incredibly fulfilling to make a meaningful difference in the lives of women who have triumphed over breast cancer.
My favorite quote: A quote that resonates deeply with me is, "Each of us has a personal calling that’s as unique as a fingerprint. The best way to succeed is to discover what you love and then find a way to offer it to others in the form of service, working hard, and allowing God to lead the way."
